Why Waypoints?

In the aviation industry, so-called waypoints are used by modern aircraft to fly from airport A to airport B, often traveling vast distances over unpopulated land or water. Without waypoints, it would be much more cumbersome and complicated for pilots to get you to your final destination as the direct route is often not the fastest or most efficient option.

At Waypoints Communications, we believe in an approach to communications and public relations that is similar to how planes navigate the planet. In many cases, our clients know their final destination, but they are unsure how to get there. Some of our clients are already halfway to their destination, others are ready for take off. Either way, we are here to help identify the waypoints en route to the final business goal. Whether you need us only to map those waypoints for your or help you navigate along them to your final destination, we are here for the entire journey, or a segment of it. You tell us where you want to go and we help you map the way.

We also believe that it’s impossible for one agency or group of people to be good or great at all elements of communications across all industries and all countries. We consider such claims to be highly suspect. Therefore, Waypoints Communications is what many consider a “niche” consultancy. We simply cannot do everything for everyone everywhere. No one can. We focus on two main services:

1) telling the stories of tomorrow today;

2) crisis communications.

The industries we serve are: healthcare, research, the life sciences, medical technology, and pharma.

Waypoints Communications was founded by Patrick Bartosch, a veteran communications executive with more than 15 years of experience working in the areas of healthcare, the life sciences, medical research, medical technology, and the pharmaceutical industry. The agency has a global footprint, with embassies in North America, Europe, and New Zealand. From those three locations, we are able to serve clients across the globe and all time zones.
